Step Ladders

There are two main types of Step Ladders (also called “A” Frame Ladders) – Single Sided and Double Sided.

Step Ladders can be manufactured using different materials (including Aluminium, Fibreglass and Timber), the treads can be riveted, welded or swaged and they come in a range of sizes from 2′ (0.6m) to 16′ (4.8m).

Shelf Steps

Shelf Steps are a Tread Type Ladder (like half of a Step Ladder) with a Cross Bar across the Top for leaning on to Walls, Fixed Shelves or Fixed Racking Systems. They are a light and portable solution where space is at a premium.

Little Jumbo Ladders sell the C Kennett range of Timber (120Kg) and Aluminium (150Kg) Shelf Steps.

Dual Purpose Ladders

They work as a standard Step Ladder but can then be “Flipped” open to work as a Single / Straight Ladder.

This can be very handy as you can do your inside work as a Step Ladder and then with the same Ladder work on
the outside either as a Step Ladder or “Flipped” open to work as a Single / Straight Ladder to access higher areas.

A more versatile Ladder is the Step Extension Ladder which can have the rear section slide up one rung at a time for a varied length which can be critical if being used in a confined area such as accessing a man hole through a ceiling.

Step Extensions do the job of two Ladders, from a standard Step Ladder to an Extension Ladder.

They are more versatile than a Dual Purpose Ladder which can be “Flipped” open into a Straight Ladder as the Step Extensions rear section can slide up one rung at a time for a varied length which can be critical if being used in a confined area such as accessing a man hole through a ceiling.

Single / Straight Ladders

Single or Straight Ladders can be manufactured using different materials (including Aluminium and Fibreglass), the rungs can be riveted, swaged or glued and they come in a range of sizes from 8′ (2.4m) to 20′ (6.1m).

If you are looking for a Roof / Ridge Ladder, then just add some Universal Roof Hooks to one of these Ladders.

Extension Ladders

Extension Ladders can be manufactured using different materials (including Aluminium, Fibreglass and Timber), the rungs can be riveted, swaged or glued and they range in size from 7’/11′ (2.1m/3.3m) to 24’/44′ (7.2m-13.2m).

Some Models have Round Rungs while others have Flat “D” Shaped Rungs and there is also a range of Options and Accessories available for most models including Levellers, Pole Straps, Cable Hooks and more.
